Jason DeLong was born in Bedford, Virginia, and still resides on the small family farm where he grew up, nestled between the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Smith Mountain Lake. His location offers proximity to numerous National Parks and an abundance of breathtaking rivers and streams. Jason has always had a deep love for nature, often kayaking with his family and capturing wildlife and landscape photographs.

His artistic passion revolves around capturing the emotion and expression of the human figure. Along with his appreciation for beauty and unique sights, Jason has an analytical side with an interest in structural engineering. Over the past 20 years, he has built a solid foundation in Mechanical Engineering and 3D Design, particularly in furniture. Jason began his career in furniture as a frame sub-assembler, gradually gaining experience in various departments. This hands-on learning eventually led him to focus on function analysis for value engineering, specializing in CNC programming.

With his background in mechanical design, art, and a strong drive, Jason transitioned to New Product Development as a frame designer, proficient in various furniture forms. Over time, he developed a particular passion for motion furniture and exposed wood. Now working as a freelance furniture designer, Jason is able to combine his creative vision with his systematic approach to design.
